Oh it's gorgeous!!
It's a Crum Pottery Rose Bowl and once upon a time they were often seen on graves.
Yes made in New Lynn, though not sure of the timeframe, probably 1940's or 50's.

I think my husband said it was a wedding present to his parents in 1948 so that would fit. thanks so much for that. much appreciated.

Another question. We've had someone keen on this so asking if anyone knows the value of it. There's no cracks or chips. Actually in really good condition.

I've asked around for you and they fetch from $150 to $200.
