Re: Is this black dish Crown Lynn 356 “Wet and Dry”
I would be happier if this had the number on it .... but I can't find the post for the one in the Gallery to support that thought
Nothing in the written records to help either, only this, showing the shape ...
I will add your post as a link to the one in the Gallery and no I don't add the different glazes to the Gallery photos, but thanks

Thanks Ev. Measurements may be of use at some point to compare if a numbered example shows up.

Re: Is this black dish Crown Lynn 356 “Wet and Dry”
Hi Ev. I have just found example of Crown Lynn No. 2060. See photos including comparison shot of the two.
Measurements of No 2060 as accurate as I can get them.
28.5 cm long, 10.8 cm wide, 6.2 cm high at mid point of the dish and 9 cm at the highest point of the curve of the dish. Hope this helps.
So it differs marginally in size from the unnumbered example which leave the question of where did the unnumbered example com from. Probably never know.

Bravo!! You are so clever!!
It did cross my mind that it could be a Flower Beauty shape, but I never followed up on that thought .... and it is!!
I have measurements for the 2060 which is 281mm long.
Titian Potteries also made Flower Beauty shapes and they just had a sticker with their JH8 on it.
You have solved the mystery yourself

Thank you Ev. That’s what’s happens when one starts working through a pile of things one hasn’t seen for a while and of course in the absence of a proper catalogue which I can do as I correctly identify objects. I do appreciate your expert help and advice.
