Hi guys, picked this up at the Swanson Markets this morning.  Never seen one like it before...

Does anyone know the number?  I'm pretty sure it's not in the gallery, as I'm sure I would have remembered it.

Very costly, but I think worth it.  Costly being $5 for both pieces...Smile

EEEEEEeeeeeeeeee I found it !!!!!!!!!!!!
1130 Fluted Round Butter Cover [Canada] no date but circa 1971.

Now to find the base ..... ^_^

Hmmm as the 1095 Gravy Boat would sit on this same dish .... I wonder if the dish is actually an 8015 .......... arghhhhhhhhh

If so and I think it is so, we need to find another shape for the oblong butter base *sigh*

Yay...in that case, $5 was a bargain...I do have another butter plate, but had never seen the lid. Lovely.

At an Antique Fair today I saw an Apollo butter lid on an Apollo side plate and it looked a lot better than the little jam dish above and it fitted beautifully.
I wonder if this is correct ..... ?
As I have a brown Apollo butter lid, I will try it with a brown Apollo side plate and post a photo tomorrow so you can see how well they go together.

Couldn't find a brown Apollo side plate, but here is the butter lid on a white Apollo side and I think it looks great! What do you reckon?
I think I have a Crown Lynn pic somewhere of the entire Apollo set, but haven't found it yet.
