Unusual Dorothy Thorpe?
I have acquired these cups and saucers, I have 4 of them which I can easily identify the cups and saucers themselves as Dorothy Thorpe, but that glaze is just not Dorothy Thorpe, I'm thinking Crown Lynn in their wisdom, as they so often did, took some Thorpe cups and saucers and simply glazed them with another colour and placed the willow transfers on. All pieces are unmarked as such, although two cups have the number 2 pressed into the base and the other two have the number 4 pressed in.
What do you folk think?
In this picture I have placed one next to a Dorothy Thorpe Santa Barbara Loop Handle cup and saucer for comparison purposes.

Re: Unusual Dorothy Thorpe?
Got this with a box of Crown Lynn from my in-laws...looks the same right? It has the number '2' as well...no saucer so far but still a lot of the new house to go through. I'm hopeful.
