Post  Ev Thu 16 Feb - 13:11

In 1985 there were 8 of these shops scattered around Auckland -
Glen Innes - 23 Mayfair Place
Hunters Corner - Sutton Cres, Papatoetoe
New Lynn Factory Shop - Clark St, New Lynn
Onehunga - 3 Guys Mall
Panmure - 66 Queens Road
Ponsonby - 300 Ponsonby Road
Symonds St - 170 Symonds St
Takapuna - 102 Hurstmere Road.

I have fond memories of frequent visits to what we called the Crown Lynn Seconds shop at Penrose in the 1960's and 1970's. Though money was tight then, so I would get something useful and small and drool over all of the lovely things on display.
