Four colourful Steiner mugs
Bought for 50 cents each, pictured is the cobalt blue, but also have a salmon one (got this free because of a hairline crack) a cheery yellow and a lime green one.
As you can see they are already popular here...

Re: Four colourful Steiner mugs
mrnarna's one looks like a smaller/shorter version than mine, unless it's just perspective. I would quite like to get matching saucers for mine, I wonder if they came with them in this taller style?

A Saucer
I had to rescue this from the fill-a-bag table at Hospice.
My one and only piece of Steiner.
I would like to get some old cups sometime.
Is this what you're looking for, Cat-a-lat?
A 50c cup and a 10c saucer separated by $5 postage!

Re: Four colourful Steiner mugs
Thanks, but I don't believe that would go with my ones, I found an auction for hexagonal Steiner mugs which looks like a match for your saucer - shape and shiny glaze anyway, different colours. The glaze on my mugs is more of satin sheen than a high gloss finish

Cups and Mugs
Cat-a-lat, I was kidding really. I saw this topic when I came back to the forum and thought it would be a fun excuse to photograph the saucer, which I did just spend 10c on.
I think yours are mugs would be too tall to look right in a saucer; likewise those in the auction you pointed out. And mrnarna's cups would look naked without a saucer.
I think it must have been the Eido mugs Bob had just brought out when my friend Matthew and I were plastering his house in the 80s but so long ago I just remember "strange". So probably those I would buy.
I'm in no hurry for Steiner mugs but one day, if the opportunity comes along.
