Genuine Ironstone New Zealand
This backstamp was used by Crown Lynn from the 1960's to the early 1980's for a multitude of patterns that don't have a name stamped on the ware.
Re: Genuine Ironstone New Zealand
When talking to Alan Topham the other day he said that he came up with the name Genuine Ironstone and that this ware was sold at McKenzies and Woolworths as was the Kelston Ware backstamp, where the Crown Lynn stamp wasn't allowed as that was purely for up market outlets. In saying that I have noticed that many of the Genuine Ironstone backstamps also have Crown Lynn New Zealand added to the Genuine Ironstone backstamp ..... so further research is required!
