Beach Artware

I found Beach Artware listed in old phone books from 1975 - 1978 at 2a Rabone St, Henderson. The Managing Director was P.J. Beach, 16 Woodruffe Ave, Henderson.

I don't know anything about this pottery and had added their details to a Clay Craft topic as there appeared to be a connection. Hehee and Crown Lynn is mentioned again!

Stewart Salisbury mentioned elsewhere that they made colourful very popular wares and I am keen to see some now.

Woodruffe Ave rings bells .... I think Norm Parker lived in that street too!

So Daniel Steenstra worked at Beach Artware in 1973 then !!!

I've always wanted to know what they made .Mrs Beachs name was Eva her husband was in a wheel chair and the sons name was Paul.
I think they made hand potted stuff and same of the potters where Pauls school friends.

Dan also worked for Stewart Pottery for about 1 year, but was not comfortable making slip ware. I think he came to me after Peter Beach passed away and beachware closed. I am sure Norm Parker took over their premises.
Dan was a great guy with a funny sense of humor. He had a terrible time during the war in Europe, and he had many stories to tell. He also knew my father very well.
