Aquila / Orzel Thai woman
In Gail Henrys book page 172 it describes a Thai lady glazed in green to represent Jade. I purchased what would probably be described as an African bust of a female in a green glaze which looks very much like Jade. Done anyone have any information on this piece or even an example? I'll dig her out over the festive season and post a picture. It arrived with an Aquila sticker but I wrote it off as Aquila because there was no mark or glaze in the bottom however I have recently viewed a number of pieces that are definitely Aquila and guess what no mark or glaze on bottom so I now want to get to know if my piece is original.
Many Thanks

Re: Aquila / Orzel Thai woman
See what happens when I take time off op-shopping!
As I was checking out of the Salvation Army Family Store on my last visit i saw the lady ahead of me was buying what I'm pretty sure was a Titian toby.
I get peeved when I get gazumped, but seriously, neither Titian toby jug nor Aquila sculptures fit my collecting so I shouldn't be. Get over yourself, Jeremy.
Congrats, Kat! Well spotted, and, yes, it looks great with your other green pieces.
Is it time to move on from blue yet?
