That narrows the timeframe down for me to plan my trip to Wellington. I have booked a bed at my sons place already, just need to book the flight. Thanks for the information. The discussion by Tom Clarkes daughter will be interesting.

I reckon that this exhibition will end up promoting Crown Lynn and all of it's glories big time!
Great, but scary too as if there is a demand for something that isn't being produced then prices may soar .....
I'm having a blast posting on the Facebook page ....

The posters for the Exhibition have been put up on the Crown Lynn: Pottery of Distinction Facebook page! There are two ..... Swans and Animals .... both are truely divine!!
Check out the wee pony in the Animals poster .... don't think I've seen this before

I just won a poster in a competition on Facebook and chose the Swans one to give to a friend who collects Crown Lynn Swans

No labels????? How unusual. I will be asking Gallery Assistants for information then. Can't have questions unanswered at an exhibition covering so much pottery history.

Maybe I just skim read these days?

Your comment about there being no labels was the same one my son made about the exhibition Ev. He found the talks interesting but wanted more info. I think there could have been something available for the public, perhaps even as a print-off to accompany the exhibition? Apart from the names of the collectors and the works they were collecting on each stand it was quite stark. Perhaps the curators wished the pottery to be the main focus as shapes and colours to stand out rather than written info cluttering up the exhibits?
The brochure that I came home with did have quite a bit about the exhibits/exhibitors. I have been reading mine since I got home, it talks about the collections as a group, but not much about individual pieces. Still good to have though.
