Crown Lynn was very very careful with their Fettling i.e cleaning and smoothing after taking the pieces out of the moulds and you never see the lines where the moulds joined that you see with other manufacturers. My guess is that the brown bowls are hand thrown and the Tasman bowl is made by machine. Ev you will prob have more to say on that with your knowledge of catalogues.

This auction includes Mirek Smisek as the glazer for these bowls, although the writing through the glaze doesn't match the Bohemia Ware script.

I find this topic ever so confusing.
It is a shame that the seller hasn't got a copy of the information he/she read.

When Manos had a look at my bowl he straight away said that it was made by Streenstra.

I have only once handled a Crown Lynn Smisek Bohemia vase and remember it as much lighter and the outer glaze darker but I can't be 100% sure.

I think this glaze is associated with Mirek Smisek, and I think the script may well match that on the Bohemia Ware vases. Compare the incised 'n' on these vases with those on the bowl. One vase is clear overglazed like the bowl.

How intriguing!!
I've never seen anything like these before and the script match is spot on for the Smisek Bohemia pieces.  However I'm not convinced that the writing matches the bowl script which is more rounded and these are more 'up and down' although in saying that, I'm no expert.
