Is this a crown lynn swan
Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct sub forum to post this, but I'd like to get some background for this swan if possible.
I've been told that it's a very early (because of the pin holes), and rare black crown lynn swan. Unfortunately there seems to be no numbers/marking on the bottom to confirm this.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Cameron

Re: Is this a crown lynn swan
Hi Cameron, Personally I don't think this swan is Crown Lynn. I have seen similar without the holes on the back, but I'm not sure who the maker was. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on the maker.
Looking at Google images for Black Swan Vase I found these ....

Re: Is this a crown lynn swan
Hi Cameron, I too have seen these from time to time on English auction sites, but I'm afraid this is not a Crown Lynn swan. If you check this link on the site, you will find a gallery of all the known (so far) Crown Lynn swans. http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/gallery/Crown-Lynn-Swan-Gallery/Crown-Lynn-Swan-Gallery-cat_c15.htm
