I am looking for  pieces for the Herald dinner set.    I love the feel of the pattern on the plates.  I would like to have the complete set some day. What I cant work out is whether there were cups and saucers as well in the set.

Hi Anne30, Yes there are cups and saucers for Herald.  I bought an eight piece setting bit by bit in 1982, but chose not to get the cups and saucers as I thought the cups were too small as we were into decent sized coffee mugs then.  The dessert bowls are on the smallish size too and I had to get some porridge bowls from elsewhere as well I recall.

The cups and saucers have a multiple ring just like the outside of the plates.

I've got some around the place, will have a look, as I seem to recall you being in Palmy too? Could be handy.

Hi Anne

If you are in Palmy it could be worth a trip through the gorge to Woodville and to check out Evan the Viking and his second hand store there, I trade a lot with him and he has a heap of crown lynn and I am positive he has Herald amongst his haul.

Very Happy

Hi again, sorry for the long delay! I found two Herald dinner plates in my collection, but at work yesterday 5 bowls, 2 dinner plates, and assorted side plates (and possibly saucers, memory fails me) came in. With any luck they will still be there and I can secure them for you, if you're still looking.

I think I have several side plates I've had in a box for years if they're wanted.
