KILN - Kiln Craft Empty Kiln Craft

Post  Jeremy Ashford Sat 14 Sep - 13:22

I don't find "Kiln Craft" with the search engine so I'm just putting the name out to see what turns up.
Off the top of my head I understand Kiln Craft was later to become Clay Craft: T/F??

I did see on tm a little while back an unclear backstamp which I eventually decided must be Kiln Craft.

Today I was chatting to a tm seller at the Sallies and she lifted a blue two-piece container, said the words "Kiln Craft" and put it down again. The mark was the same as on tm and indeed it said "Kiln Craft".
Item chipped and cracked, not a buyer, but a very clear mark.

The whole name Kiln Craft is spelled out in a swoop occupying most of the base.

There are a couple of items on tm at the moment, they appear to be ca1970s:

There is jug, quite like those from the Royal Oak/Kirmiko/Stewart ranges from the late 60s on, but also very similar to a sweet mug from Clay Craft, auction just ended. See auctions 637254428 (KC) 635572561 (CC).

Also there is an intriguing "KILN CRAFT stoneware beer stein made in NZ " (637346120).

Note: there is also an English "Kiln Craft" Staffordshire from a similar era that pops up on tm searches.
