This is certainly a giant among coffee mugs, or perhaps it is called a tankard

This looks very familiar so I checked the records ....
1329 - New "1078" with thicker handle - first made 22.9.80

Great sleuthing Ev, I wonder why they changed the handle? Perhaps it was too light initially for such a large shape.
