I posted this on Identifying Australian Pottery, and a member suggested the mark could be Maria Thompson's.  I'm hoping you may be able to confirm or otherwise.  My only questionmark is the painted bottlebrush - do you have these plants in NZ?

Nz do have a bottlebrush plant - Sorry not much help with Maria Thompson Smile

I found kazam's post on the Aussie Marks site and saw the photo. It certainly looks like the Maria Thompson mark that is in the NZ Potters' Marks book, though I am not familiar with her work. The jar looks like it was made by a feminine hand.
