I've pulled this out of one oh hon-john's opshop finds posts as it is rather unique.
I'm not really sure if it is the same as the ashtray described on page 165 in Gail Henry's book or not, but it sounds like it as that calls it a tobacco jar in the form of a barrel with a lid designed for use as an ashtray.  Is it one and the same and if so it was made at Titian Studio Waitakere.

This is how it looks with the lid off -

Both are barrells the car one has had the surface under transfer rubbed flat.
No markings but the remains of a Presley Ware sticker.
I would like to find the matching Ashtrays now Very Happy
