3032 shape mug
The shape guide reads- 3032 = Coffee Mug as 3620 with a 3020 handle
I found this cup with a rusticana glaze - its slightly bigger than other mugs, has no base rim and has the same handle as 3020
If this is correct, then it will help to identify cup 3620 and 3035
Please let me know your thoughts on these findings...
- 3620 = Mug with D block handle) ( a vitrified mug)
D block, is mentioned further back in the shape guide more like something to do with the making of the pottery,?? I saw reference to 'D block' on vases, jugs and cups, as a 'Column header' on the right of the page. the page where 3620 is listed doesn't have that 'Column header' - 3020 handle is the "basil brush beaker handle

Re: 3032 shape mug
Excellent sleuthing Janice!
Yes that is definitely the 3020 handle and I haven't seen that mug before ....
Could it be a Pioneer vitrified mug? Does it feel vitrified?
The 3032 appears to be the only other shape that uses the Basil Brush handle, so if it's earthenware I think we should go with it.

Re: 3032 shape mug
It doesn't feel vitrified, so I will pop it in the gallery under 3032. I went out to the op shops on a mission to find cups- shapes, that I hadn't got or seen before.

Re: 3032 shape mug
So I guess now we have to find the 3620 vitrified mug with D block handle.
It will be the same shape as this mug, but with this other handle ....

Re: 3032 shape mug
Yes - that would be correct and also the 3035 mug - but that has a 3056 handle.
