This vase was sitting with some others by Crown Lynn at the Firestation shop in Waipu.
There is no 2098 in the gallery but then this looks nothing like those around 2098.
(Sorry I left the bottle caps inside for the photo.)

The whole bottom has raised stripes like those seen above and below the number.
The base seemed more like porcelain or vitrified than I would expect for a CL vase.

Well as there are measurements it may help ....?
2098 - 9 3/4" x 5" Trough [was JH15?] Which means that it was a Titian shape.

That seems about right, Ev.

Do you think it looks like it could be CL?
This is certainly not my area.

Here's the photo I cropped it out of.

Top right is a 2060. That should give you an idea of scale.
I don't know the shape number for the brick vase.

Heck I've never seen anything like this before and as 2098 was a Titian shape before Crown Lynn made it - it could look like anything! If Crown Lynn made this I am not familiar with the glaze ....... so I'm not sure at all about it really.

It didn't seem right to me but I thought I should photo it anyway as others know better.
I think the number looks like a CL font.
