Hei Tiki canister, pen pot etc from riddle
Riddle allowed me to photograph this when I went for a trademe pickup last night.
No marks, about 10cm H.

Re: Hei Tiki canister, pen pot etc from riddle
Did riddle have any thoughts as to the maker? By the way is riddle a girl or a boy?
My first thoughts are that it looks too amateurish to be Crown Lynn. That's all.

Riddle is a man! R.D.L.
Not many thoughts.
It was after sundown and I had to use available light, so it's a bit contrasty.
I put it in this section because I thought I saw a description for something similar recently.
Coarse foot ring so I thought maybe Orzel.
The glaze may be a clue but I don't recognise it.

Same shape, different glazr, on tm:

More thoughts on maker:
Castle, Hand Putaruru

It has just occurred to me that the glaze on the tm example appears to match that of some Clay Craft pieces, for example Mikes blue/green jug below.

The brown one (at start of string) could be a match for the CC brown, right, above. I have tested this theory with comparison montages and it looks good.

I hope Linda Haslam's shop in Hikurangi is open today: I'll go ask her.
Tough: shop sort of open but Linda absent!
