Is the South Pacific Cup a development of the 753?
Is the South Pacific Cup a development of the 753?
I picked up this sweet duo today. It is unmarked, presumably Crown Lynn.
I have no ideas about the pattern and have not searched for it yet.
There were two such duos in the shop at Okaihau so I'm confident cup and saucer belong together.
As I have an early 781 with a slightly different handle from those of the typical tulip cup (in Fleurette), I thought the handle of the 753 might likewise have been changed to give us the "fatbum" or South Pacific cup, for which I can find no number. As this saucer has the smaller size of footring I take it to be an early 1960s shape.
