Purple Violets? Kelston Backstamp - Is Lilac Time Pat.No.757

Just lovely. I am sure I have seen this pattern before... perhaps without a name I suspect

I have this Pansy pattern that is similar on shape #1353 Titian Ware

Wow, those are not cheap either are they? LOVE the colour though!

Are the lilac colour glaze Tulips correct? is this Lilac Time too?
My cup is marked just NZ - saucer Kelston Potteries no background pattern  
 

As your tulip has the same pattern, my thoughts would be that they are the correct tulips. Although the seller says they have part of a complete dinnerset, I remember shopping with my Mum in McKenzies when I was a littley, and her buying both dark green and tan tulips to go with Tam-o-shanter, so although the original set may have included those lavender tulips, it may be that the buyer put the set together in that way, as pieces could be bought in singles and sets. Ev will probably know for sure though.  

Your cup and saucer look like the original matching pair to me.

The plates on the auction with the lilac cups have a background of Fabrique by the look of them, so this is possibly another pattern and I don't think that Fabrique was ever put on cups, so they would probably have been paired with a plain matching coloured cup, as is the case here. I would say that it's the Lilac cups that are attracting the big dollars here!
There are no hard and fast rules with Crown Lynn, you can mix and match whatever your heart desires

Just a note to say that I saw this pattern on a Crown Lynn cake plate today and the backstamp read :

Violette

OMG from Jim's collection... this is a big jug approx 16cm  

That is so cool. The second new backstamp this week. And this one is in colour! It is so complex I wonder if it was applied as a transfer rather than stamped.

I'm beginning to wonder if Lilac Time and Violette are two different patterns .... ?

I think Violette on white & Lilac Time on Fabrique with Lilac Cups.  

This is Lilac Time on Fabrique so now I'm certain the one under Lilac Time in the Gallery is Violette. 
ps ..this smaller pattern is different to the one on Jims Jug..does that matter?

Ok I think I've got this sorted now thanks to your input Kat.
Lilac Time definitely has the Fabrique background and Violette is on plain white.
I'd like to put Jim's jug into the Gallery as that is a certainty, plus as you point out the pattern is a little bigger.
Plus of course replace the pic in the gallery with your latest Lilac Time post.
