Dunbar Sloane in Wellington is holding an auction in Wellington on 24 and 25 September and a

proportion of the NZ pottery has been earmarked as possibly Australian. They have labelled it Colonial. It is the glaze which is a turquios blue colouring.

It looks like what quite a few Crown Lynn collectors believe is made by Crown Lynn. Maybe someone has some thoughts.

It is in their Fine & Applies Art Auction. Lot no.s A1 to A9.

Ohhh that's interesting as that is what I believe is called early Crown Lynn Ruskin ware and I know very little about it.  I love the glaze colourings, but these never continued if they are Crown Lynn.  It would be great to find out more and it may pay to follow up the Australian idea.

Edits to add that this pottery was not made by Crown Lynn or Ambrico. It appears to be English.
