As it was too hard to plough through all of these threads mixed up together trying to find info, I've separated them into their own sub-topics except for the ones that have two or three of these makers in the same thread.  Hopefully from now on the posts will go into the right topic.  If you can't decide where to put something, post it into a new topic in the main category and hopefully it can get sorted out from there.

I want to add specific timeframes for each of these potteries so can someone kindly let me know what they are?  That is what I was looking for when I decided that this category should be sorted out.  I have rough ideas, but I want to be accurate.  Thanks everyone!

Linda gave me a copy of her reference from Clay Craft but I'm not sure where it is. I remember she was there in the mid-80s.

I think the end of Clay Craft should match the beginning of Terra.

Ev bless you for separating these out.  So much easier to navigate. Xxxx. I think I have some dates. I will dig thru my papers later.

Beach, Kiln Craft and Clay Craft now have their own sub-topics Empty Dates for Beach, Kiln Craft, Clay Craft.

I have had a look on the Companies Office site.  You search for the company name and with a bit of luck it comes up!  NOTE this site gives the dates when the company was registered, which is not likely to be exactly the same as the date it started operation.  The site does however give us a reasonably good indication and the dates tie in with other peoples' comments noted below.

BEACH ARTWARE from 09 Oct 1973 to 04 Apr 1990

KILNCRAFT POTTERIES LIMITED (28 Apr 1980)

CLAYCRAFT POTTERIES LIMITED (13 Jun 1984)
Claycraft registered office 22 Honan Place, Avondale, Auckland 7 , New Zealand

Claycraft became Don's Wine Bar Ltd and was later stuck off, ie it was removed from the register, most likely because it became inactive.

Below is some information I have gleaned from our site with sources noted.

Ev and Signal Red: I found Beach Artware listed in old phone books from 1975 - 1978 at 2a Rabone St, Henderson. The Managing Director was P.J. Beach, 16 Woodruffe Ave, Henderson. (Peter Beach, wife Eva, son Paul).

Ernie Cooper: When Peter Beach died, his widow sold to Don McKenzie. Don renamed the company Kiln Craft. (1979 ish) There was a challenge from Kiln Craft in England and Don McKenzie changed his company to Clay Craft in 1984.

Ev: While checking out some old Yellow Pages today, I noticed Claycraft Potteries 1984 Ltd at 22 Honan Place Avondale from 1983 to 1987. One listing was written as Clay Craft. I noticed a listing for Kiln Craft Potteries in 1979 and overlooked the address!

I see one more listing in the Companies Office
Claycraft Potteries (1983) Limited
Registered 1.Nov.1983 to 18 Jul. 1990

I wonder why they had two companies registered? A 1983 version and a 1984 one?
The 1984 version only went to 1987 ..... whereas the 1983 went to 1990. Though Don McKenzie had a wine shop ... from 1977 to 1997 and I wonder if that is why things are out of wack?
Just checked my phone book notes and Claycraft don't show up after 1987 so will leave it at that then.
