I got it from John in May 2008 .... 
It reminds me of Studio Anna ware...... I love it btw !

The TradeMe one looks similar to the Diana Pottery pieces decorated by Norman Sherratt which had an S for Special on them. Sherratt later also decorated pieces for Studio Anna.

Yes the fantail is a wee bit different ..
The writing looks to be from the same hand.....?
Will I ever be sure though??????

Right so today I found a dish the same shape as this, with aboriginal drawings on it and it didn't have any markings, but there was a little sticker that said ......... *drum roll*
