Luke Adams stamp - Sydenham Pottery

Post  mumof1 on Sat 3 Jan - 23:06

I found this in my potters marks folder dated 10/2012, I guess I didn't know what to do with it before

I think it is off one of the spill vases

To add to the Luke Adams marks -here is a page from 'Luke Adams : His Family and His Pottery' by A.F.R.Adams (no date [?after 1965])

On identifying Luke Adams pieces the book says 'Unfortunately, a great many of the items produced by Luke Adams were not marked. Recourse must then be made to the glazes, the clay body, photographic evidence, and of course, family provenance.'
