Tall Handpotted Vase with Triple glaze? Shape C 10
My fab new handpotted vase, 240mm high, with that wonderful top
Would you call this triple glazed?
I can't quite get a clear photo of the hand incised number, it is so faint and filled with glaze, but to my eye, in direct light it says C16.
Here I tried a black & white photo, maybe a little clearer? It would fit with the shape of the C15 too I think.

It's a wonderful piece sunny
It is so much nicer than the photo that was on TM and very unique!
That isn't a triple glaze effect, as it is a white glaze over a black and the reactive effect from the two glazes.

Yes, it could, the impression is barely visible. I will change the gallery.

Ploughing through old Crown Lynn articles I came across this shape from a 1959 brochure! So that gives us a time frame for this ware that has concentric lines on it. The Brochure was headed Consolidated Brick & Pipe Investments Ltd, which were the precursor to Ceramco.
