Hi Crown Lynn fanatics Smile I have been collecting now for a few years, and have visited the forum many times before (only joined yesterday). I collect mainly from op shops but have bought a few on Ebay. We don't get as much variety in Oz, and it only turns up sometimes. I now have a mixed dinner setting of around 16 different patterns. I have a display set, an every day set and spares. Always hunting for more! Pleased to see a community that appreciates CL and makes me feel less odd about my obsession!!

I love the way your mix n match patterns go together so beautifully. Lovely! If you have the time, can you please tell us more about how much Crown Lynn you do find in your local op shops. CL did export a lot to Oz and I have heard it used to be quite plentiful in Gold Coast op shops.
Also you might want to try the NZ online auction site TradeMe.... A real treasure trove of CL (though you do need to look out for listings which are mis-represented as CL).

I too think your collection is wonderful  Laughing
Crown Lynn in Melbourne
When I was over the tail end of last year, I scouted all the retro/collectibles and op shops and found next to nothing Sad
I deliberately took a suitcase to fill with treasures but all I found were 2 mixing bowls ( which were pretty special Razz for total cost $5.00 ) I did see some crown Lynn, but nothing too exciting the odd plate here and there and a 30 piece dinner set.
Maybe I should try the gold coast next time?

Hi, yes there is very little CL here really. I haven't tried the Gold Coast op shops, but where I live (mid North Coast) it comes up sometimes, but not often. What I have, I collected over around 3 years of pretty intensive op-shopping. Some of it I bought off ebay, maybe 2-3 times I have bought from there but not often as it is expensive. It does turn up, but you really need to hunt for it.

I love looking at Trade Me, it's awesome to see so much CL in one place. Price of postage puts me off a little.

Janice I feel like I've asked you this before, but the first plate on the left in the second row looks like Tamure Brown d231 and we don't have it.  Is that correct or did you come up with another name?
