I have seen the occasional listing on Trademe, mainly vases, but don't know anything about Clayworks really. The below info I found in old phone directories :

1991 - Clayworks - Manufacturers of Ceramic Lamps, Vases, Planters.
166E Marua Rd, Ellerslie

1994 - Clayworks - Copenhagan Lamps 52 Halsey Road, Manurewa

1995 - Clayworks - Manufacturers and Retailer of fully glazed pots, Planters, Vases and Tableware - UnitE 166 Marua Rd Penrose.

Ev why don't you bring that with you when we catch up tomorrow... it is highly likely that Hemara or Cam/Beverley can shed some light. I have a small collection of things I want to ask them about and I am sure they won't mind. Looking forward to tomorrow! xx

Clayworks Mt Maunganui

Post  Ev on Sun 13 Oct - 15:15

Just to confuse matters, I found this beautiful little boot on Trademe.  It has been made by hand and is not slip cast.  They would have used a 'pattern'.  It was the sticker on the base that prompted me to get it .....

current listings
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/SearchResults.aspx?searchString=clayworks&rptpath=all&type=Search&searchType=all&generalSearch_keypresses=0&generalSearch_suggested=0

and recently expired - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/SearchResults.aspx?from=advanced&advanced=true&searchstring=clayworks&current=0&cid=0&rptpath=all&sort_order=default&searchregion=100 - I note a boot amongst them as well as a vase that sold through 'my' op-shop recently lol Wink it's fun playing 'who's that trader?' when I spot familiar looking items come through TradeMe.

another Clayworks "Clay Works" mark, Clayworks mug

Post  Jeremy Ashford on Mon 17 Oct - 17:12

Green Clayworks mug with different mark.

9cm H

The "Clay" and "Works" are separated in this raised mark but it sure looks like the same pottery.
