Re: Old Brown Boot
Is the base unglazed bisque like clay? Is the base dirty or is the clay so dark?
If the base is bisque like and normally white then it might be an unmarked Forest ware. But without the Forest ware stamp it is so hard to tell.
Forest Ware seemed to have been made in the early 80s going by LA Walkers signature on EV's pot. I have a couple of La Walker pieces that she decorated in 1987 but they are not made by Forest ware and one that was made by Wattle ware in 1983.
If it is a F/W piece it wouldn't be old either.

Re: Old Brown Boot
It has cleaned up with some jiff
I only have the forestware turtle planter now to compare it with & they are similar in size..but the brown glaze is thick & overall makes the boot heavier.
We think it maybe an old rugby boot??
