Any Info On R. Taylor of Konini Rd, Titirangi
I have a large ceramic work that has been signed by R. Taylor, 236 Konini Road, Titirangi. Phone: Tit 6783
The work was originally commissioned when the Potters Wheel Tavern was built in New Lynn, West Auckland. Early 70's (I think).
It is a collection of squares that make up a picture of a man working at a potters wheel.
Does anyone know about R Taylors work ?
... I can't figure how to post the pictures. Happy to email them to you.
Thanks

Here are the photos that have been sent to add to the topic. They are not too big either. Very interesting indeed !! It looks kind of similar to the wheel used on the Crown Lynn mug doesn't it? A large flywheel and what is that board above used for? Is it like a pedal perhaps?

Hi Ev - thanks for this - just to let you know - the piece is approx 500 x 400 ish.
We're interested in selling too. Could someone advise on what it may be worth?
Cheers
