There were and maybe there still are many places where you can go to paint your own ceramics. Schools, groups, retirements villages etc go and have a blast with a little instruction. I know that Studio Ceramics still do this. Not sure where this place fits into the scheme of things, but hopefully one day someone will tell us.

This Paint Ceramics mark includes a name. I bought this bowl because it almost works! Incidentally I have seen the shape of Jeremy's bowl in the catalogue of a supplier of blanks... can't remember where or when but somewhere on this site.
