Re: Some of my Hanmer Pottery
These are splendid thanks M.V.retro
I won't get a chance to add them to the Gallery for a couple of days, but I'm looking forward to doing it.

Ok here it is seen with some other mugs I dug out.The large mug in second photo is not marked but I have had another in basically same shape and size with Hanmer mark and have pictured that one in 3rd photo which I took 2-3 years ago

Re: Some of my Hanmer Pottery
Thanks for the extra pictures.
What a feast.
I have no doubt that the two tankards are same maker and one is marked so that is good, but are they the same clay body as the coffee mugs?
They look lighter.

Re: Some of my Hanmer Pottery
The clay colour is in keeping with other Hanmer pottery I have. They used different coloured clays over the years and I will add a selection photo of various pieces undersides including the unmarked tanker later today to show differences in clay used. The blue Tankard I no longer have as sold it on Trademe in 2013.Jeremy Ashford wrote:Thanks for the extra pictures.

Re: Some of my Hanmer Pottery
So here is an underside photo of 9 pieces. The clay colour of the piece to the left of the Tankard is exactly the same as the Tankard. However of the 9 pieces pictured I count 5 clay colour differences which are more evident actually than picked up in my photo but you can see the contrasts of the clays used with some totally different and others within a few shades of each other.M.V.retro wrote:The clay colour is in keeping with other Hanmer pottery I have. They used different coloured clays over the years and I will add a selection photo of various pieces undersides including the unmarked tanker later today to show differences in clay used. The blue Tankard I no longer have as sold it on Trademe in 2014.Jeremy Ashford wrote:Thanks for the extra pictures.
