I almost didn't turn to the right, but as I had checked out all of the Oppies to the left on Monday for nought, I went right today.
How lucky was I to find this darling little No1 Wally Silva for $1.50 Very exciting!!
In pink and grey splatter decoration that is a bit over done. I'm just so thrilled !!!

I have just put this beauty into the Gallery and now we have two shape 1 vases in the Rancich/Silva Gallery? I notice that there is also another possible Shape 01, but I believe that there can only be one shape. I see that Marcus has the same shape as this with Kowhai painted on it. Soooooo interestingly wonderful !
This one is definitely hand thrown on a wheel and now we have to see if Val's No1 vase is slipcast or not.
If it is it will probably be Glen Afton ...... oh the mysteries of the world of NZ Pottery !!

None the wiser!
Ev I have studied my two pots number 1 and number 33. I am as sure as I can be that they are both hand-thrown, probably by the same person. Look at this link... scroll down to my post. The same swirl effect inside is a feature of both.

The odd one out is number 34, which looks like it could be cast.
We need to get these pots all together in one place, and compare, don't we? Maybe you can come up to our pottery group when you 'retire' hahahahahahahah.
