Hi all,

while browsing over Trade-Me I've encountered a listing for 7 all-over pink Crown Lynn sideplates.

What is interesting (to me at least) is that the side-plates appear to be modello-shaped. I've not seen this shape in all-over pink before, only white with pink borders as in the pattern Venice. Has anybody encountered this pattern?

I've asked in the auction if the seller can let me know what is printed on the back of the plate as the photo is rather blurry. Comparing the backstamp with those on the back of Nouveau, this plate appears not to have a pattern number on it, but there is something written where the pattern name is on the Nouveau backstamp.

Hi Bruno, we have touched on the Decorative Touch range before ...

https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t4093-decorative-touch-lilac-blue-coloured-soup-dish

This bowl reminds me of Kirstie pink https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t3551-pink-d16181-bowl-is-kirstie-pink-plus-kelsie-beige-d16183-also-kylie-grey-d16182

As far as I know the Modello range has shapes unique to that range.

Hi Ev,

Thank you for the link to the Decorative Touch post - I'd not seen that post before. The seller also has kindly replied as well confirming the name. You're right about the shade of pink as well - very much like Kristie Pink!  Smile

As for the shape, comparing with the (several) Trade Me listings for Nouveau (like this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/plates-platters/auction-1303136000.htm) I'm almost certain that these are the 4072 Modello side plate shape. Jan's bowl in the other Decorative Touch post likewise to my eyes is the 4073 Modello oatmeal bowl shape.

Similar backstamp to the Modello range as well.

I agree that they look the same, but I checked out the Kylie, Kelsie, Kirstie range and the Oatmeal is shape 4047.

The Modello Oatmeal bowl is shape 4073.
The whole of the Modello range has a new set of numbers including plates, side plates, bowls etc and they show up in the Four Digit Flatware Gallery ...
