Pottery marks : Crab & Toilet pan

Post  mumof1 on Fri 29 Sep - 14:53

Last weekend I met an elderly gentleman who told me he used to pot in Gisborne. I thought I would share his work, in case his unusual marks ever came up. He is William (Bill) Coppell. His first mark for this ginger jar is a crab

The next one is a little different

He used a different mark for this jar, which he came up with using his initals
