Who made this Rheem mug with distinctive handle?

Post  mumof1 on Fri 22 Dec - 11:05

I am sure this is NZ pottery, but any ideas who would have made it? The handle is possibly a give-away. Jeremy?

Looks to be slip cast, as the very fine crack is only just on the base and directly through the centre.

I have a Steiner University of Auckland mug that reminds me of.

I'll see if it's handy.

And check the Steiner gallery too:

the mugs don't have a foot like this but the cups do.

This looks like a rip-off of a Steiner shape. Steiner's mugs are a much more elegant shape with a larger finger hole and a proper formed foot. Steiner is an artist/craftsman. I

Here is a reply from a plumbing rep...

Gosh it's old but i'll ask the boys there !!!  (Rheem)
I doubt they know who actually made it.
Could even be from Ozzie.
