Hannale we are all still learning. That's why we love this site (and NZ pottery generally.) You never know what will pop up next!

I keep coming across this maker and mark, I just wish I could put a name to it. I have more pieces, this one still has the cork lid and the leather thong to hang it by. It is large, at 21 cm high and 16 cm wide:

That looks like the Royal Oak glaze, so it may be worth checking out the Royal Oak Gallery Hannele Smile

Thank you, Ev, I will. If it is Royal Oak it certainly explains the lack of marks.

Just checked and yes, it is Royal Oak. The picture is already in the gallery, courtesy of Kat & Co, mini salt pig 10cmh. No mistaking the knob and the upturned opening, plus it is the same glaze and colours.

There seems to be a (stamped) mark, but it is very faint:

My big find of the week is large. I know what it's for, but what is it called? It comes complete with the spigot. In great used condition, it took some effort to get it clean:

Very nice and I would call it a wine jar and the bung is a spigot.
We have this mark on the site, though I'm not sure if it is named or not Smile
