Many thanks to Anne Sutherland for letting us use her photos.

Anne bought this vase from the Crown Lynn shop in New Lynn in the late 1950's early 1960's.

Anne remembers being told that it was made by a Dutchman.

She was looking for the name of the potter who made it and asked me when I was at Te Toi Uku the Crown Lynn Museum.

Anne emailed photos of her treasured pot and I was delighted to tell her that it was the work of Daniel Steenstra.

Please note that the base has Hand Potted stamped on it and not the usual Hand Crafted.

The history that goes with this pot is priceless.
Thank you so much for sharing Anne Smile
