wineman2 described them as " wall mounted photo display plaques" .....
Not sure how you would put a pic in them ... other than using glue??

It's copied/cast from a resin piece by "Polynesian Originals" that originally came with an inset barometer...guessing this ceramic version may be a spoon rest?

Associated Ceramics (1989) Ltd Petone
Does anyone know anything about Associated Ceramics (1989) Limited Petone. I have a large pottery jug which has a label for this company and I see that the company has been mentioned in connection with Wharetana photo frames? Any information would be appreciated. The company is not mentioned in either of Gail Henry's pottery books.

A popular Italian restaurant in Dukes Arcade on the corner of Willis and Manners Streets, Wellington used white Associated Ceramics crockery including a large shell shaped bowl for seafood pasta dishes. The business operated just off Jackson Street near the intersection with Hutt Road in Petone and I think it was still manufacturing in the early 90s but disappeared not long after that.
In a Government Gazette dated 13th December 2012 the Registrar of Companies gave notice of intention to remove Associated Ceramics (1989) Limited from the Companies Register. It was registered from 29 May 1989 to 22 Jan 2013.
