D Petrie Blenheim pottery.

Not a lot of this pottery about, but I've seen people ask about it several times.
As the footring has been fettled by hand, I would say it has been made in a mould.
The stamp is in the same style as OC Stephens from Dunedin.

"Petrie is the surname - he was a Blenheim teacher and became Principal of Riverlands school but did night classes at Marlborough Boys College."
Also:
"Petrie studied at the teacher's college in Welly with Doreen."
I assume that Doreen is Doreen Blumhardt as she was based at Wellington.
Te Ara says that in 1951 she was appointed head of the art department at Wellington Teachers’ College and was there for 21 years. In the 1950's ceramics became her main creative outlet.
Any more information would be gratefully received thanks as I've only seen snippets and we never had any photos to start a topic about this potter until today.
