This domestic ware is beautifully thrown, probably by a NZ production potter. The base is unmarked, but there does appear to be a graphic at the base of the handle attachment. Does anyone recognise the mark please? Not sure if it’s just a geometric shape, or possibly some combo of ‘e’ and or ‘c’. Looks like stoneware. The decoration seems distinctive- looks like cobalt and poss iron oxide depicting draping flowers

Could it possibly be Nicholas Brandon’s brushwork?

The brushwork doesn't remind me of Nicholas.
Most potters in the 1970's decorated their pottery with iron oxide brushwork. .. ....
It would be better if you could identify the potter who made that shape Smile
I will do a Google Lens search.

It's an unusual shape for a salt pig with that high opening.
It's really quite clever and you wouldn't run out of salt very quickly, as it would hold so much Smile
