A Slice of Heaven ....
We have just spent Labour Weekend moving into our Kiwi Slice of Heaven ..... it's just so fantastic
Peace and quiet, birdlife, nature, awesome views, fabulous sunrises, it's sublime! Though heaven is exhausting to move to! Not long to go now until all of the important chores have been attended to and then I can get back to the site. I have heaps of photos to load from Marcus .... and they are fantastic too!! Studio pottery [my first love
] and Crown Lynn and I just wish that I had the time to spare to get them all loaded on here ..... soon, very soon! I still have many boxes of pottery to unpack ... but I'm saving the best for last
I will get some pics before too long, to show you all what Heaven looks like

Re: A Slice of Heaven ....
its nice to hear its all progressing smoothly
look forward to seeing all Marcus's pics
and what heaven truly does look like

18 different species of birdlife so far....
Lets see if I can remember them all ....
Rosella, Kotuku, Morepork, Hawk, Tui, Fantail, Pukeko, Sparrow, Thrush, Blackbird, Magpie, Duck, Myna, Seagull, Finch, Wax-eye ..... there are two species missing! Will get back with them
... Swallow .. still one more to go ... Yellow Hammer and an unknown green finch .... shag ... can hear doves cooing too.... Swans .... yes truely!! ... there will be more!!! Kingfisher
I finally got to unpack all of my pottery .... and it took all day!
This place consumes my pottery so that I now have room for more!!!!!!!
Only two pieces didn't survive the shift ... a beautiful huge Meri Meri Crown Lynn platter
and another very thin old vase that could have been Crown Lynn... but I have pics of both
Pics of our slice of heaven will have to wait as there is no time at the moment..... and I've only got 11 more photos left to load from Marcus's fabulous collection .....

I started to unpack the pottery studio yesterday and what did I find????
More studio pottery and more Crown Lynn Tableware ... surprise
Oh well I have the room ... and I have great ideas for displaying Crown Lynn plates above the pantry and crockery cupboard
So much fun

Fun times today displaying Crown Lynn plates ..... :D

Wow you can just see the shelves which surround the kitchen .... that I have filled with Studio Pottery
can't capture the ambience as camera doesn't have a fish eye lens.....

A blaze of heavenly colour !

The ever present magical Golf Course .....

Does anyone know what this weeping tree is?

Wilma visited us ....
The creek is normally like a babbling brook, but Wilma visited on Friday night and omg the creek turned into a wide raging river. Quite scary as it almost reached our fence and the house isn't far from the fence!! We reckon that the creek rose around 12 feet or more!!

Finally remembered to take a pic of the new addition that flew over the ditch onto my Crown Lynn wall vase wall
Have never seen a green like this before on anything made by Crown Lynn
Thank you Tony for the 539

Re: A Slice of Heaven ....
Only got a glimpse of the Iris display down one side of the house last year as I was too busy unpacking.
This year I can revel in the most delightful stunning show
