Simon Engelhard ashtray from Marcus
Marcus mentioned that apparently Simon worked at Crum for a while.

I saw a gorgeous Simon Engelhard Goblet today
Was all set to buy it for $4 then realised it had a major repair - I don't think the pricing ladies had noticed as they usually price damaged stuff down to a dollar or two. Was heartbroken as it was fantastic - really good wine glass size with gorgeous blue/purple/browny stripes and ornate stem. I didn't know the mark, but could see it was made by an accomplished potter. I want to resurrect my pottery goblet collection that was pretty much destroyed by my ex :-( (Drunken off-roading in a housebus through a nudist club...)

Well, it was an interesting experience to say the least - I jumped out the back door - 8 months preggers. Oh, my lovely pottery that got broken that day Gotta laugh about it now, hadn't thought about it in years.

Simon Engelhard Salt Pig
Dropped into my local (op-shop) 10 minutes before closing today and spied this cute little salt pig for $1.50
