Well I found the BIC pot as a Crown Lynn ball point pen jar in museum files.

I was surprised to see that in the Portage files too. It may be that, like the Air NZ building bottles, Ti-Toki bottles etc, more than one manufacturer was involved.

I wrote somewhere that, although it has been confirmed that Orzel did make these, the glazes are not familiar to me from other Orzel pieces.

Remember that not even the museum gets everything right all the time. From memory they had a Manhattan piece as CL when it's Orzel. That said, I can't say for sure that CL never made these pots but I was there when Cam Brown confirmed that Orzel had made them.

I am sure Cam Brown is right.
There is another one in the museum files attributed to C/L.

I picked up on this error right away and we thought that these were made by Crown Lynn until Cam Brown said that they made them by the thousands. Like Val said, they cannot get everything right all of the time, but the majority is correct. I have come across another problem and I will check it out with their records when the Museum is open to the public next year. There are still a lot of records that haven't been added and I am hoping that they will be accessible at the Museum. I have started a list of queries.
