More info from Manos:
'The boot is most likely to be made by Sundry brick works, because at the time they made them for celebrations of the birth of a child. The child's name was then scratched into the sole. This particular boot has the initials WL scratched into the bottom.

Oh great my new find is the same. I have a feeling it is press moulded in two halves & finished.  I wonder if Manos' boot has cross & W.C. in the same scrip? cat
