Re: 1374 Titianware mug
Is that a number above the NZ Marl?
Titianware stands for ..... Titian?
A number would have come from Crown Lynn ...?
Does anyone know????????
I have to tell you that I really struggle with the Crown Lynn/Titian merger at the best of times.
Every time I get belwildered I reach for Gail Henry and Val Monk to help me find an answer ....
but they only give ambiguous retorts .....

Thanks Marl
Your imagination is pretty cool
The Museum notes may shed some light on that number ....
if ever Heather Feather sees this thread ......

Titianware/Titian
I have pieces with both marks and have presumed that the Titianware in a cursive script was before they were taken over by Crown Lynn but that is only a guess.
Yes I can see that number also as 1374 which would suggest that it was after the takeover.

I will be seeing Heather tomorrow and will ask her to check out that number when she returns home.
I know that Crown Lynn adopted Titian shapes when they took them over .... but sheesh it makes it hard doesn't it

yet another 1374
I just picked up one of these in Hikurangi.
It is marked "Titianware" above and "1374" and "N.Z." below.
Could this be added to the Castware shapes gallery now please.
