Lilac Tulip Cups
Hello everyone.
There has been a bit of debate (outside of this forum) regarding whether the lilac tulip cups are Crown Lynn or not. They seem to be the same shape, same handles etc (which usually means they are) BUT, I have never come across one that is stamped New Zealand. Also, on auctions recently closed on trademe I have seen a poster comment that these are English. I was under the impression that English ones always had England on them.
Anyone know any more about this colour? I personally don't own any now as I swapped mine but a friend of mine has several which all seem to be a uniform colour BUT they are slighly lighter than a colourglaze saucer they have in the same hue - that suggests that Crown Lynn DID make this colour unless they paired those with the Apollo lavender?
Any thoughts? Anyone got one with NZ?

Tulip cups
I recall seeing other colourglaze with NEW ZEALAND on base. Have 2 types here at the moment. These are patterned white colourglaze sets of tulip cups with matching saucers. Both imprinted with NEW ZEALAND and one has Kelston Ceramics stamp as well, the other has Kelston Potteries Karen. So I see no reason why colour glaze tulip cups with NEW ZEALAND on base should not be Crown Lynn.

Re: Lilac Tulip Cups
Hi there
I am more trying to ascertain if the lilac/lavender ones UNMARKED are or are not CL because there has been a lot of debate. I have not yet come across a saucer that matched - the closest is the Crown Lynn Colourglaze lilac/purple which matches the Forma perfectly in colour but not the tulip.
