That is a very interesting albeit a sad story. Thanks for posting it Ev

I still have my lovely example of their skills.

re Cindy Ceramics Mug - Page 2 Empty Cindy Ceramics on TM: another piece of the puzzle ...

Cindy Ceramics coffee set on tm:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Antiques-collectables/Art-deco-retro/Kitchenware/auction-791645544.htm

The photo shows coffee set, a canister like Val's (see following link) and a new canister shape, white glaze body with floral transfers, brown lids.

I think the shapes are a match for the yellow and brown that Val and I have been looking for the maker of:

Could all these shapes be Hemara's work???

(Weird stuff the autocorrect does on this machine. It changed Cindy to Cundy as Nicole has a colleague of that name.)

re Cindy Ceramics Mug - Page 2 Empty a different transfer again

Post  Jeremy Ashford Wed 7 Jan - 13:22

This shape must be burned into my brain because as soon as I saw it on the SPCA's mug shelf, late last year, I knew what it was. Mine has no mark for confirmation, but the spoon jar (handle-less mug shape) sitting next to it with the same transfers did.

inset is transfer on reverse

fi is selling a Cindy mug with a different shape:

Oh, by the way, unless this is a shape used by lots of English potteries I think it is modelled on this Royal Windsor one:

re Cindy Ceramics Mug - Page 2 Empty Two more mugs …

Post  MarkusWinter Fri 24 Feb - 11:34

I have two mugs to add (if I can figure out how to add the picture):

I hope it's not impolite if I ask what I can sell them for? Dentists are ridiculously expensive in NZ …

Thanks MarkusWinter Smile

We don't have a Cindy Ceramics Gallery yet so can't add your mugs, only because there are so few pieces on the site.

As Cindy Ceramics is not very well known, there is not a lot of demand for their wares. Probably worth what you paid for them sorry.
