My two 2053 Dsc01610
I know you already have the 2053 in the gallery, but I wanted to share my two, this one with a plastic frog inside,

you push the stick in the centre and the little suction cup grabs on to the bottom to hold it in place

This one came with a matching candlestick which sits on the ridge, not totally inside. Perhaps the dish was designed to catch the over-run of wax. There is no number on the candlestick.

Was the brown one from Trademe?
I so wanted to tell someone recently who had a listing with the candlestick inside the 2053 that they were two separate items ...... but didn't as it wasn't complimentary.
They are both ikebana containers .... yes even the candlestick Laughing
Made for Flower Beauty to their specs.
I saw a beautiful Gondola Flower Beauty/Crown Lynn/Titian dish last week for $1 .... picked it up and it was cumbersome and heavy as it had a metal flower spike glued inside... so put it down and admired a gorgeous big thrown raku piece ... too big to carry and look so put it down and continued .... then totally forgot about both !!!! Walked out without anything! Went back next day and they were both gone.... I'm still kicking myself!!! The rule is NEVER put anything down that you want, however cumbersome it is! grrrrrrrr

I did buy the brown one off TM, it just appealed to me. Bad luck about those items, I did the very same thing today, put it down to keep looking, and then went home without it. Embarassed

My two 2053 Empty A strange mark on this one - what is it?

Post  mumof1 Thu 5 Sep 2013 - 16:43

My two 2053 Dsc07312
I found this 2053 today in a salmon / peach colour
My two 2053 Dsc07313
The base has the normal raised markings and number, but what is the other mark? Any ideas?
